Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi airport after passing through customs and immigration, you will come out and will be met your representative/chauffeur from Alishba Holidays and taken to the hotel for check in.
Day 2: Delhi Visit
After breakfast our guide will meet you in the hotel lobby for a full day sightseeing of Delhi.
Delhi is one of the most ancient and historical city of India and capital city too. You will be visiting both old and New Delhi.
You will visit largest mosque of India, Jama Masjid built in 1650 and from the mosque glimpse of Red Fort can be had.You will visit Raj Ghat where mortal remains of Mahatma Gandhi were cremated. You will visit mausoleum of second Mughal emperor Humayun dating back 16th century, the first example of Persian style garden tomb and forerunner of world famous Taj Mahal.
You will drive past India gate built to commemorate sacrifice of Indian soldiers in World War I and will be driving past Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhawan or President House which used to be the Viceroy’s house during British.
Later after lunch break at local restaurant (not included) visit iconic Qutub Minar, the largest tower construction of world in bricks dating back 12th century A.D
Day 3: Delhi to Udaipur
Today you will fly from Delhi to Udaipur (Subject to Availability).
Udaipur was founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh and is also known as Venice of the East or City of Lakes. Udaipur is also famous for James Bond series movie OCTOPOSSY was filmed here.
Check in to hotel and afternoon is at leisure.
Day 4: Udaipur Visit
Today visit Saheliyon ki Bari (garden of maidens) and Maharaja’s City Palace which is a museum now. Visit Jagdish Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has ornate carving work. Later enjoy a boat ride in Lake Pichhola on sharing basis
Day 5: Udaipur to Jodhpur en-route Ranakpur
After breakfast leave Udaipur for Jodhpur en-route visiting Ranakpur.
Ranakpur is a small village but having one of the renowned Jain Temple of India. This temple was built by a Jain devotee for which land donated by King of Mewar. This temple is so intricately carved in white marble and having 1444 pillars carved in different designs.
NOTE: Dress code is applicable in this temple. Shorts and sleeve less not allowed and we must take our shoes off before entering into the temple. Water, edibles, leather items and all type of toxic products are not allowed in temple.
Day 6: Jodhpur Sightseeing
Jodhpur was founded in 1459 by Maharaja Rao Jodha Singh is also known as Sun City and due to its blue painted houses, the Blue City.
After breakfast visit Mehrangarh Fort situated at hilltop. This is one of the beautiful forts in India. This Mehrangarh Fort is also converted in to the museum having many attractions as Howda Khana, Palki Khana, Shringar Chowki, Daulat Khana, ornate Phool Mahal, Cradle House, Moti Mahal, Zanana etc..
Visit Jaswant Thada, memorial to one of the Jodhpur King Maharaja Jaswant Singh II and many other royal family members were also cremated there.
Later enjoy a Jeep Safari to experience rural life of Marwar region. In this safari you will visit a village where potters live and in a potter’s house you will experience how practiced hands of a potter giving shape to different stuffs on potter’s wheel which is still being driven by hands. You will visit a farm house also to enjoy life of farmers. During this jeep safari to village you may see some deer, antelopes and other wild life.
Day 7: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer
After breakfast leave for Jaisalmer.
You will be driving past a town called Pokharan where nuclear tests were happened but that site is bit far from the main road and prohibited to visitors.
Day 8: Jaisalmer Sightseeing
Jaisalmer which means the hill fort of Jaisal was founded by Bhati ruler Rawal Jaisal Singh in 1156 also known as Golden city.
Today you will visit a lake called Gadsisar which was the only source of water for the town even after the independence.
Visit live fort of India called Golden Fort where 1/3rd population of Jaisalmer city residing.
Inside the Fort you will have a walk in narrow streets and visiting a Jain Temple.
After the visit of Fort you will have a walk tour in the streets of city where beautiful historical Hawelis (Mansions) of merchants since 18th century can be seen but while walking in streets please beware of cows.
Later in afternoon take a drive about 40 kms to Sam sand dunes to enjoy camel safari and amazing view of sun set from dunes.
Day 9: Jaisalmer to Bikaner
After breakfast drive to Bikaner. On the way you can visit a village called Kheechan where migratory birds arrive during the season. Sight of migratory birds not possible all the time but subject to their arrival in India.
Day 10: Bikaner Sightseeing
Bikaner was originally a barren land area in the desert of Thar and known as Jungle Desh. Later in 1486 Bikaner was founded by Rao Bika Singh, the elder son of founder of city of Jodhpur, Maharaja Rao Jodha Singh.
After breakfast visit famous Junagarh Fort which has got elaborate palace rooms of sandal wood, mosaics and murals.
Later take a tuk tuk ride to a Jain Temple located in the heart of the city where you will admire the carved wooden pillars and gold leaf paintings.
Afterwards you will visit a camel farm because Bikaner is known as the camel capital of Rajasthan state and has become India’s main source for these Ships of the desert.
Day 11: Bikaner to Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan also known as the pink city.
Jaipur is the first planned and largest city of Rajasthan state founded in 1728 by Maharaja Jai Singh II.
Day 12: Jaipur Sightseeing
Jaipur is first planned city of India and capital city of Rajasthan state.
After breakfast start your sightseeing with photographic stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Wind) and visit 16th century Amber Fort which used to be capital seat of Jaipur rulers prior to foundation of modern Jaipur city. Amber Fort contains Jaleb Chowk (Parade ground), Deewan e Aam (the hall of public audience), beautifully painted Ganesh pole, palace of mirrors and Zanan Khana, the Harem.
Take a photo stop at Jal Mahal and have a lunch break (not included).
Visit world famous stone observatory known as Jantar Mantar built in 1728 but still all instruments are functional and later visit Maharaja’s City Palace where Royal family of Jaipur still residing but that part is not open for visitors. Rest part of the palace has been converted into the museum. This museum is having Textile Gallery, Sabha Niwas, an Armory and largest silver vessels of the world are also displayed, and each of them is having a capacity of 900 gallons of water.
Back in to hotel.
Day 13: Jaipur to Delhi to Fly Back Home
Today, drive to Delhi to Fly back home.
