Day 1: Arrival in Amritsar and Sightseeing
Fly from Delhi to Amritsar, upon arrival check in to the hotel.
This morning, you will enjoy sightseeing tour of Amritsar city also the capital of Sikh religion.
After having your breakfast, you will visit Jallianwala Bagh, a public garden which houses a memorial of National importance established in 1951 by the government of India.
Visit Durgiana Temple also known as the Laxmi Narayana Temple, derived its name from the Hindu Goddess Durga.
Though a Hindu temple, its architecture is similar to the Golden Temple.
Afterwards, visit the famous Gurudwara (Sikh place of worship) Golden Temple also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib.
It is the holiest Gurudwara and the most important pilgrimage site for Sikhs.
Here, you will also see a community kitchen providing free meals to the pilgrims and visitors every day.
Later, after lunch at a local restaurant (not included) you will visit the border town of Wagah famous for its Wagah Border ceremony, a daily military practice that the security forces of India and Pakistan jointly followed since 1959.
Day 2: Amritsar to Chandigarh (Half Day Sightseeing)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Chandigarh, capital of the Northern Indian states of Punjab and Haryana.
Upon arrival in Chandigarh, check in to the Hotel.
Enjoy local half day sightseeing.
You will visit Rock Garden,the famous sculpture garden of Chandigarh also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden.
Later you will visit Sukhna Lake, which is the reservoir in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Overnight in Hotel.
Day 3: Chandigarh to Shimla
After breakfast, leave Chandigarh for Shimla, the capital of northern state of Himachal Pradesh in the Himalayan foothills.
Upon arrival in Shimla, check in to the hotel and rest.
Later, you will have a sightseeing tour of Mall Road the main street in Shimla, constructed during the British colonial rule. It is located a level below the ridge (the most recognizable part of the hill station).
The offices of municipal corporation, fire services, and police headquarters are located here. Automobiles, except emergency vehicles are not allowed on this road.
The last viceroy here was Lord Mountbatten.
Continue to your walk, you will see the Scandal Point where the Mall Road joins Ridge Road on the west side.
You will also see the Christ Church the second oldest church in Northern India.
Day 4: Himalayan Queen Train
Today, you will abroad the Himalayan Queen Express for an unforgettable train journey along the UNESCO-listed Kalka-Shimla railway. You'll travel through spectacular scenery as this narrow gauge train winds its way through the lower Himalayas.
You'll continue by road up to the Tara Devi temple where you can enjoy incredible panoramic views surrounded with lofty Himalayas.
Day 5: Shimla to Delhi
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Kalka Railway Station to board Shatabdi Express for four hour journey to Delhi.
